Upper Yoder Township is a scenic and welcoming community nestled in the southwest corner of Cambria County, where it meets Westmoreland and Somerset Counties. Set at the foothills of the Laurel Mountains, the Township offers a beautiful blend of rural charm and comfortable residential living. Covering 11.7 square miles and connected by 24.48 miles of Township‑maintained roadways, Upper Yoder is easily accessible thanks to several major highways that pass through the area. While the Township’s official population was 5,147 at the 2020 Census, its daytime population grows to nearly 10,000, reflecting the steady flow of local activity, businesses, and community engagement.
Upper Yoder Township is governed by a five‑member elected Board of Supervisors, which meets at the Municipal Building, 110 Sunray Drive, Suite 1, Johnstown, PA 15905, on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Residents are always welcome to attend and stay connected with local decision‑making.
For additional information or assistance, the Township Office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding holidays. The front entrance of the Municipal Building is handicapped accessible and allows access to the offices of the Township, Sewer Authority, and Tax Collector, where the staff is committed to providing helpful, friendly service to all who call or visit.
